The Foundry, our campus HPC resource provided by an NSF MRI grant award in October of 2019 is being decommissioned in June of 2024. The OS which the Foundry is running is nearing end of life and thus will not be receiving patches to the operating system. As a result we need to decommission the resource. We are replacing The Foundry with The Mill which will be configured and administered very similarly to The Foundry. Much of The Foundry hardware will also be migrated to The Mill. These hardware migrations will begin in January of 2024 and continue throughout the spring 2024 semester.
It is important to note that we will not be automatically creating accounts for any existing Foundry users on The Mill. A Mill account can be requested by filling out our account request form at https://missouri.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_e5n4I8cvzo77jr8.
