Beginning with MATLAB R2024a, deployed versions of MATLAB on the Missouri S&T campus utilize the UM System site license of MATLAB. This site license allows all students, faculty and staff to access every toolbox produced by MathWorks for both teaching and research purposes and many other resources provided by MathWorks. When you launch MATLAB R2024a (or newer) for the first time on a computer, you will see a login prompt like shown below. Entering your UM System SSO, as shown below, will redirect you to the UM System MFA portal for authentication.
After logging in through the UM System MFA portal, MATLAB will open. Your name should be visible in the top-right corner of the application. You can run ‘ver’ in the command window to verify that your instance of MATLAB has checked out a license correctly.
