This document will discuss two possible solutions to printing your documents as PDFs if they contain the Aptos font, or if you are getting an Adobe PDF Distiller error.
If you are attempting to print a document from any application on your Windows computer using the Adobe PDF option and get an error message in Notepad, you might be experiencing an incompatibility between fonts, such as Aptos, and the Adobe PDF option. An example error message can be found below:
Change Printer Properties for the Adobe PDF Option
This example will use Microsoft Word, but the steps will be similar for all software that allows printing.
- Click Printer Properties when in the print dialog of your application.
- Uncheck Rely on system fonts only; do not use documents fonts
- Click OK
Your document should now be turned into a PDF correctly without issue.
Switch to the Microsoft PDF Option
This example will use Microsoft Word, but the steps will be similar for all software that allows printing.
- Click the printer dropdown list to expand it.
- Select Microsoft Print to PDF.
Your document should now be turned into a PDF correctly without issue.
