JMP Licensing Issue

If you are getting the following message follow these steps to fix the issue:

NOTE: If you have any issues making these changes, please submit a ticket and someone in IT will schedule a time to assist you.

  1. If JMP is running, make sure to close it.
  2. Open Windows Explorer and type %appdata% in the navigation bar and hit enter
  1. Navigate through the following folders:
    • ..\SAS\JMPPro\16
    • Right click and choose Open with on the JMP.PFS file 
  1. On the popup window, select Notepad and Just once
  1. Scroll down to the section labeled License File Path( “C:\Program Files (x86)\JMP License\jmp.per” ) NOTE:  Your file may have some different options, but the license file path is the important one.
  1. Change the location to License File Path( “C:\PROGRAM FILES\JMP LICENSE\JMP.PER” )
  1. Click File->Save and close out of notepad
  2. Launch the program again and it should launch successfully.
